HP Pavilion trouble!?
I have the HP Pavilion Entertainment PC and just recently the screen of my laptops begins to de-pixelate (i know thats not a word but it basically begins mixing colours and going crazy). When i press the reset button, it shuts down again and again. It also begins overheating.
Does anyone else have this problem and how do you fix it?
fist of all, the color problem and the resetting problem seems like a problem with your operating system rather than the laptop itself. If i were you, i would just revamp the whole thing. If you can't access your old files because the computer keeps resetting itself, i would recommend using an ubuntu live cd to retrieve the files. http://www.ubuntu.com.
also, if you're using vista, i recommend either going back to xp or using Linux, but that's all up to you.
As for the overheating, i feel your pain. hp laptops are notorious for overheating and it's just something that you have to deal with. To avoid overheating, i would recommend using a cooling pad. they cost about 30 dollars, but they do wonders for keeping my laptop from overheating. Also, avoid laying the laptop on cloth surfaces, as they tend to hold a lot of heat and keep the laptop from breathing.
