Led light issues, resistor value pls rieju 50cc RS2 NKD?
Hello, i own a rieju 50cc RS2 NKD
I recently purchased x2 LED Lights after smashing into a bus and after repairing the front end the turn signals started to play up.
So for a LED on a rieju 50cc RS2 NKD what size/value resistors do i need.
Turn signals are usually 21 watt bulbs or 12 watt. LED ones are usually about 2 watt. Depending on that you need a different value resistor in parallel with each indicator that fools the flasher relay into thinking it still has those 12 or 21 watt bulbs. Oxford Products sell the different 2 values of resistor required. Reference numbers are OF373 and OF374. To get them you need to go to an Oxford products dealer and get them to order them for you - they are only a about £1.50 each.
Another way is to replace the rears with LED and fit a special flasher unit if you can get one so the added resistors is the best bet.
Yet another way is to buy the Oxford Products ones that come with the resistors in the pack.
Got to get it done as too fast flashing is an MOT fail.
