Key West Day 3 – Tuesday

What a difference a single day makes. The wind had increased slightly and had shifted from its previous direction of Easterly to blow from the North. The fish just switched off and all of our team struggled to get the fish to bite.

Harry was with Tom & Jim on board Manny's boat. They started off fishing for Tarpon, the fish won three nil !. They then moved out to the Permit Patch at Western where they managed to catch 3 Permit. They ended their day by catching some bait for the following day's adventure.

Roy fished with Chris Gadsden on Captain Chris's boat. They fished for Tarpon throughout the day being slightly more successful than the first team with a score of 3 tarpon landed from 7 hooked.

I fished with Keith aboard Damon's boat. With a tarpon landed on the very first cast, I was quietly confident of having a good day. I didn't have another bite !. Keith hooked one about 30 minutes later but the fish managed to snag him on the bottom. That was the last action that he saw for the day. We too went bait catching near the end of the day and caught loads of bait ready for Sailfish fishing on the following day.

Just a tad disapointed not to be seeing lots of piccies of nice sail fish, but guess you can’t win them all…………Looking forward to arriving at the weekend and hope I will get a chance to see next week sometime.
